Why Pilates + Strength Work Better Together

September 29, 2026

At Fit All Year Round, we believe the best way to support your body isn’t by choosing between Pilates and strength training.

It’s by understanding what each can bring to your movement — and how they can work together.

Pilates gives you the opportunity to slow things down, build awareness, improve control, and pay attention to how your body is moving.

Strength training gives you the opportunity to progressively challenge your body, build strength, and become more confident moving under load.

Together, they create a more complete approach to training.

Why We Integrate Pilates + Strength Training

You don’t have to be a “Pilates person” or a “strength person.”

Your body benefits from experiencing different types of movement and different kinds of challenges.

Pilates can help you develop control, alignment, coordination, and a stronger connection to how you move.

Strength training allows you to take that foundation and challenge it differently — adding resistance, building capacity, and preparing your body for the demands of everyday life.

That’s why you’ll see both at Fit All Year Round.

And this Sunday, we’re giving you a few different ways to experience it.

Bring a friend and experience both sides of Fit All Year Round together.

Pairs will split into small groups and spend time in both studios — experiencing Pilates and Strength before switching halfway through.

It’s a chance to try something new, introduce someone to the way you train, and see how the two methods complement one another.

There’s More Than One Way to Start

Maybe you’ve always done Pilates but haven’t tried Strength.

Maybe Strength feels familiar, but Pilates doesn’t.

Or maybe you’re looking for a place to start and aren’t quite sure what that should look like yet.

That’s exactly why we’ve created different ways to experience Fit All Year Round.

You don’t need to know which one is “right” before you walk through the door.

Come explore. We’ll help you figure out what makes sense for you.
